The STEP Forward event is designed to recognize talented women in Manufacturing and Related “STEP” Careers (Science | Technology | Engineering | Production), creating networking and mentoring opportunities, and ultimately increase the number of females choosing STEP Careers!


STEP FORWARD Nebraska/Western Iowa is seeking Honoree Nominations of 60 women working in manufacturing and related business careers, demonstrating STEP career excellence, leadership, positive impact, and passion for the industry.
STEP FORWARD Honorees will be provided with a unique opportunity for building their professional networks and advancing their career success through networking and professional development activities.

Diane Duran

Executive Vice President/Chief Administrative Officer/Corporate Secretary – Union Pacific Railroad

Diane recently retired from Union Pacific Railroad, which she joined in 1985. She held a variety of leadership positions in the Finance and Marketing and Sales departments, including vice president
and general manager-agricultural projects. In 2012, Duren was one of the honorees of the Women’s Center for Advancement Tribute to Women. She was recognized by Profiles in Diversity Journal as one of the “Women Worth Watching in 2011” and that same year was awarded the Creighton University College of Business Alumni Merit Award.
